Marc Kreisig with its MCD RR5 qualified third in the Large Scale off-road European Championship. The event was held in Fehring, Austria from July 28th to August 2nd. Six out of ten cars in the finals were MCD RR5. The favorite drivers of the race Felix Hörenz and Valentin Peuziat were top qualifiers during the quals. Despite his high performance Valentin Peuziat had to leave the race in the semi-finals due to electronic problems. Our team found the optimum set-up for wet and cold track and weather conditions that helped our team drivers to achieve great results up to finals.
Due to irrelevant regulation of the EFRA about noise we put a lot of effort for reducing the noise levels at the beginning of the event. However EFRA decided to change the noise limit from 92 db to 96 db while the event was ongoing. This hesitant decision resulted our Pilot Pekka Heikkila to be disqualified due to noise issues. Although MCD driver Özgür Derin had one lap canceled due to noise, he managed to finish 5th in the semi-final.
